Nathan Drake, the everyman treasure hunter, from the Uncharted video game series, finally gets the general release action figure fans have been waiting for. NECA has released a Nate figure based on his latest adventure in the PlayStation 4 game Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. The figure, part of NECA’s Ultimate 7″ Scale line up, features over 30 points of articulation, two portraits, swappable hands and weapons.
We grabbed the figure from Toyark sponsor Big Bad Toy Store. There are 55 hi-res photos to check out. See the pics and our review after the jump.

Overall
The Nathan Drake figure coming in a flapped window box. The design and artwork are inspired by the packaging for Uncharted 4. Included with the figure are coiled and uncoiled climbing ropes, a pistol, an AK-47, two sets of interchangeable hands, and two interchangeable head sculpts (standard and angry). The diorama backdrop is modeled after the map artwork from the game. Nate is held into the tray by a few twist ties.
The figure features a really strong sculpt overall. It captures the look of Nathan Drake really well (even has a half tucked shirt). In Uncharted 4, Nate looked a little more buff, with stronger, more pronounced features compared to his PS3 adventures. His portrait design also changed a bit with this game release, which took some getting used to. With NECA licensing Uncharted 4, the figure reflects this look, with a more muscular body and a detailed head sculpt that fits with his look in the game. Detail work on the figure is great, with different textures simulated on different surfaces. There’s fine texturing on the clothing, while skin remains smooth. The paint application on Drake is also strong, with multiple layers of washes, dirt and blood stains throughout. The face sculpts have a thin layer of paint used for a 5 o’clock shadow, which is nice and subtly applied. The paint o nthe eyes, face, and hair are all pretty good.
The upper body uses a softer shirt overlay for the waist section, allowing the mid-section joints to remain hidden, but fully functional. Fans will be happy to see double jointed knees here, which are great for climbing and jumping poses. There’s over 30 points of articulation in total. Nate has all the standard NECA joints and swivels you’d expect, allowing for some nice dynamic posing. Joints were all tight, with no paint locking issues found here. The weapons and all work well with the figure too. You an place the pistol in a holster, throw the rifle over his shoulder, all while carrying the climbing ropes and grapple. The guns and grapple are all made of the harder, sturdier plastic, so no bending here.
The Ultimate Nathan Drake figure, for me, is an excellent figure. I’ve loved the game series since the original. I’ve waited a long time for someone to put out an affordable and fun Nathan Drake figure. With some good weapons and the swappable parts, it’s hard to find something not to like. The Nathan Drake figure is available now. Check out some highlight photos below and the full gallery after that.
