Overall
Wow. That’s pretty much sums it up. This thing is ultimate perfection for a 6 inch / 1/12 scale Iron Man. Die Cast. Paint to rival a modern sports car finish. LED lights. Articulation in every conceivable spot. Holds a pose. Accessories, multiple hands. Opening flaps for flight mode on legs and back. It’s just incredible. We’ve all seen fancy pretty Iron Man suits coming from Hot Toys and others, painted nice and featuring most of these things. But this is Marvel Legends size. You won’t need a separate room to build out a hall of armor. You can swap these in on your existing 6 inch scale shelves and make it work (tad smaller). You can really see the difference between this Omni Class figure and the what you get from a basic ML figure here (and more below).
Now, all that being said, there is a price to pay if you want this level of awesome. Marvel Legends are $20 bucks at retail now. The Comicave Studios Omni Class 1/12th scale MK 43 is $115. For a lot of us, the cost increase isn’t worth it. But for others, this upgrade is. Since I don’t go full on with Marvel Legends, having a center piece that shines is worth it. Do I want 50 armors like this – well if I had lotto scratch, yes. I do think a couple sprinkled in on a focus shelf is worth it though. It’s what we all think of when complaining about other releases, that it doesn’t have this, or that, or pop, or shine. Well this one does, top to bottom. So if you want that ultimate figure, this is it.
