Cons
Soft goods shirt can look weird in certain poses
Overall
ANH luke was something I really wanted on paper. This offering isn’t horrible, but it doesn’t get me hype like I thought it would, wanted it to. It’s on par with Black Series, hitting all the notes, construction. The non-painted/washed/highlighted face and derpy eyes takes away from the epicness of the figure, it goes from being a representation of a classic character worthy of highlight display to looking like a kids toy. I get that these need to pull double duty and hit cost ranges, that it’s half the price of import equivalents. Don’t really care. I don’t want these things looking like a kids toy. I want it to be a collectible, a display piece non collectors can appreciate on first glance regardless of it’s nerdyness. /end_rant. Leg construction is better here than on recent releases, he can stand in several action poses and “straight up” fairly easily. The macrobinoculars and saber are well done, the saber has a snap peg that keeps it firm in the hilt now, also an improvement over previous sabers. The cloth tunic – it’s a choice. It looks good in some poses, not others. Since Black Series has utilized this since day one I’m ok with it, but a well sculpted equivalent would be better. Bottom line, throw some paint on that face, wash the body a bit more, and it would’ve been tops. As is, average Black Series release. Dug Kanan and Ahsoka way more from this wave, and I shouldn’t have.
