Our friends at Toyfinity Toys continue the ROBO FORCE line with one of their most intricate colorways yet. The Cruel The Detonator and Brutal The Activator kits come in purple and magenta/red. They feature numerous paint apps. And, with this round, some new pieces are included courtesy of the Weaponeers of Monkaa. Depending on which kit you opted for, you could get just a few Weaponeer pieces (with Cruel Basic) or a full Weaponeer Soldier (Ultimate Cruel). Toyfinity supplied us with the kits for a photo shoot. Also included is their massive, double kit created, Ancient Constructs. these massive gold and bronze creations will factor greatly into the upcoming stories for ROBO FORCE.
After the jump, you can check out a full gallery of the kits, as well as some additional info.
The Kit break downs are as follows:
- Ultimate Cruel with Weaponeer Solider Pieces
- Basic Cruel
- Ultimate Brutal with Weaponeer Solider Pieces
- Ancient Construct Gold
- Ancient Construct Bronze
I’ve reviewed many of the ROBO FORCE kits in the past. With the kits remaining, largely the same, I’m not going to do a full review here. However, the Weaponeer additional pieces are a fantastic addition to the line up. Since these pieces all use the Glyos figure system, all of the parts are interchangeable. Fans of the assorted Glyos compatible figures (Onell Designs, Weaponeers of Monkaa, Outer Space Men) have been mixing and matching the parts for years. However, this is my first real foray into additional pieces outside of ROBO FORCE. These add some great new variety to the builds. offering a chance to expand the designs to be more unique. Ultimate Cruel is especially nice.
You will see that there are two Ultimate Cruel figures here. The main Ultimate Cruel will have the outer guns in purple. Those who opt for additional kits can create a Cruel that is more accurate to the original by adding in the red guns to the arms. Along with the Cruel and Brutal builds, there are a few creations designed by John Kent of Toyfinity. As you can see, the added paint apps make each of these new creations really pop. And, as always, when you create your own, you can mix in your other ROBO FORCE pieces for a more unique look. The Ancient Constructs use two kits to create. These will be major elements from the story. They’re massive in size and take some time to put together. When completed, though, they tower over the basic Maxx builds.
