Batman: Arkham Knight is the final installment of the fantastic Arkham series of games by Warner Bros. and Rocksteady Studios (with Arkham Origins being handled by WB Montreal). In the game, you face off against a wide array of villains from Batman’s rogues gallery. The main story protagonists are the Arkham Knight and Scarecrow. Both have their own scores to settle with Batman, and use Gotham City to enact their revenge. In the game, you acquire an all new V8.03 Batsuit, which allows Batman to move faster than he ever had, as well as use new features such as multi-fear take downs and eject glides from the Batmobile. The V8.03 suit has a more armored look to it than any previous main suit from the series.
NECA has taken the new suit design, and turned it into a beautiful 1/4 scale figure. Arkham Knight Batman stands at 18″ tall and includes multiple hands and accessories. The folks at NECA sent the figure along for us to review. We have a full high resolution gallery and review after the jump.

Overall
Batman comes packaged in a tall window box. A few twist ties hold him in place, but the figure is easy enough to get out. The packaging makes for easy storage or display should you be short on space. Once out of the packaging, the figure is quite a sight to behold. NECA has crafted a perfectly game accurate figure. Sculpting is dead on throughout. The tiniest details such as rivets, mesh pieces, straps and more are all meticulously sculpted. Each piece has its own texture detailing and there are a few different types of plastics used to give a great feeling of different materials. The head sculpt is spot on, with nice skin texture (look at the pores) and detailed eyes. The cloth cape included is probably the best one yet for their 1/4 Scale Batman figures. It’s a nice heavy materials and falls nicely behind him. It’s not too heavy either, allowing it to be draped over the arms without any trouble.
Batman sports over 25 points of articulation. Fans will be pleased to know the figure has double joints in the knees and elbows, allowing for some great dynamic poses. The torso sports three different articulation spots. The first just below the chest plates, the second is in the abdomen and the third is where the torso meets the hips. Shoulders and hips allowed for a great range of motion as they each used a combination of connections points. The shoulder plates move with the figure, so they don’t hinder any poses, which was great. I had no trouble creating game specific poses, such as talking on his wrist communicator, his fight stances or using the grapnel gun. The joints were all tight, some a little too tight at times, and the figure held every pose without issue. Batman is a very heavy figure, probably the heaviest one they’ve done yet. The tight joints in the ankles and knees thankfully supported the weight regardless of the post. You can’t ask for much more in this area, especially for such a large figure.
Batman includes closed fists, a hand to hold the grapnel gun and a hand to hold the Batarang. There are clips included and you can attach them to the utility belt. Hand pop off easily enough and hold the weapons and gadgets tightly. The grapnel gun includes a removable grappling hood, while the Batarang can fold or fully open just as seen in the game. These are all nice bonus pieces that really help compliment the figure.
I had no issues with the Arkham Knight Batman. The sculpting, paint, articulation and accessories are all fantastic. While I personally like the Arkham Origins suit a bit better than this one (though the Arkham City version is my favorite), this figure is an even better execution than the Origins figure. The extra articulation points and great use of texture really propels a very good figure into a great figure. If you have the space to display 18″ tall figures, then this is a must own. Batman fans should not pass this up.
