The newest Play Arts Variant Star Wars Figure has been announced to be Darth Maul. Surprisingly, the redesign of the character is mostly minor. In the Square Enix figure, Darth Maul keeps much of his Episode I: The Phantom Menace style. He has his robe, his dual lightsaber and his trademark tattooed red skin. There are some adjustments in the style of robe, attachments, and the outfit underneath, so it’s not a simple Play Arts version of the Darth Maul we know.
The figure will include multiple interchangeable hands, the dual lightsaber, the split version of the lightsaber, blade attachments and a figure stand. Look for the figure to be released in August at a price of 13,000 Yen (about $106 USD). You can check out the photos after the jump.
