The robot X-51 was created from a top-secret U.S. military project that hoped to make a robot soldier that could think like a man. 51 experimental robots were engineered, but thanks to the work of Dr. Abel Stack who stole the 51st robot Machine Man was created. The U.S. government attempted to hunt down Machine Man after an attempt to destroy him by activating his self-destruct mechanisms failed, but led to the death of Dr. Abel Stack. Eventually Machine Man was pardoned after he stopped one of the Hulk’s rampages.

Pros
Cool robot arms
Stands well on it’s own
Average articulation
Cons
No robot leg accessories
Overall
This may not be one of the well know characters from the Marvel Universe, but his story and battle history are impressive and worth a look-up if you not up to date on Machine Man’s back story. This is a very solid attempt to bring him into the Marvel Legends line up but I just wish he also had the robot legs.
