Voltron holds a special place for us here at Toyark, it’s an 80’s property that was awesome as kids but still hasn’t received the rebirth that lines like Transformers, G.I. Joe and He-Man have enjoyed in the new millennium. So, whenever something new with that Voltron name drops we take a look. Today we have a gallery for a new offering from Toynami – an Altimites version of the Lion Force. Altimites are basically Toynami‘s fancy SD versions of characters, and this is no different. He features cartoonish styling and proportions with a high end presentation. Die Cast, well done paint, interchangeable faces, multiple weapons, light up eyes, and a display base make this more than your cutesy secondary purchase. This is a well done piece for collectors with all the key points hit. Read on to check out about 40 shots of him in detail after the break Entertainment Earth!

Overall
Overall, solid piece. It’s not for everyone, as it’s a little pricey and an alternate take on the character. But, if you dig Voltron and want to beef out that shelf, he’s a great addition. The build quality is great, he’s heavy in the hand and holds almost any pose. The weapons tend to pop out of the hands a bit, but it can be adjusted for. Having him to compliment your Toynami Voltron, 30th or otherwise, is a perfect job for him. Check out some key shots below, and the rest after that!
