The Toyark’s DC Collectibles catch up weekend continues today with a Batgirl from the New 52! Barbra Gordon is another recent and well done female character from DCC, joining Power Girl and Huntress and Supergirl. Check out our thoughts and over 25 shots of her in action after the break courtesy of site sponsor Entertainment Earth!

Pros
Great sculpt
Yellow and red/orange pop off the black
Grappling hook with rope
Cons
Paint on the lips a little sloppy
Eyes look like she just got tazed
Overall
DCC’s recent female offering have been solid. Huntress and Powergirl, Supergirl, and Batgirl all feature fantastic sculpts which capture the feminine form without over-sexualization. Well, maybe Power Girl a bit but there isn’t much to do there, that’s just how she’s presented in the books. Batgirl gets her New 52 upgraded look, a streamlined tech-armor suit with pops of yellow to play off the trademark red hair. The eyes here were a bit big, looking like someone just snuck up on her in a dark alley and yelled boo. The weapon is ok, the “deployed/not” choice is good, but when it’s not the string kinda just floats out the back. Articulation is standard DCC, a bit in the arms and legs, but not a full range. Much better now than earlier offerings as we get ankle and hip, plus a forearm twist. As a part of a modern Bat-Family display, which is what I was going for, it works perfect. Check out some key shots below and the full gallery after that!
