Walgreens jumped into the exclusives game a little bit ago with releases from McFarlane for Walking Dead and Halo. Hasbro was next with Marvel Legends Agent Venom. The Black Series was next up with a 6 inch Prototype Armor Boba Fett, rocking the now infamous white deco. This was announced during Comic Con 2014 where pre-orders went live. To the dismay of many, Walgreens decided to stock a small amount at each store before fulfilling those pre-orders. So while our fellow toy hunters were out grabbing Whobas, those that jumped in on day one had to sit and wait. Well, for me anyway, the wait is over. Everyone may be talking about Star Wars The Force Awakens (Episode VII) but read on to check some quick thoughts and over 25 shots of Prototype Armor Boba Fett!
Black Series Prototype Armor Boba Fett

Distribution and Pre-Order fulfillment
Overall
Overall a great repaint of a great figure. I was never a big Star Wars toys collector prior to 6 inch black series, and never had any version of the Prototype Armor. Getting a hold of this was a treat, an unnecessary but desired treat. I think it’s a great use as an exclusive, not necessary if you stick to core characters, but if you get one, acts as awesome filler. The figure is actually off-white compared with the Stormtroopers, and actually has several tones of off-white on the figure, so he isn’t just a big white blob. Rumor has it that Walgreens ordered another round, so he should be easier to find in store soon. Keep your eyes peeled, or, if you’re lazy like I am, feel free to check eBay.
