DC Collectibles is transitioning their artist themed design from their statues and busts over to the action figure lines, and the first in the Designer Series is Greg Capullo. Capullo took over Batman in 2011 with the launch of the New 52, and his work has been praised. I personally read Batman uninterrupted for about 2 years starting with that, and can attest. DCC is now celebrating that with action figures based on his designs. In this post we’ll take a look at Talon, who shipped with Batman, the Riddler, and Nightwing. Read on to check over 25 shots of the Talon and some quick thoughts!
DC Collectibles Designer Series Greg Capullo Talon
Pros:
Great sculpt
Great paint
Above average articulation for DCC
Cons:
Lack of any head movement at all
Overall:
Solid first figure of Talon. Fitting that he would be in the Capullo style who introduced him to the Batman universe. The articulation is good, above the New 52 levels, but not necessarily DCUC or Marvel Legends level. For me though, this is good enough. Gives you some ability to dynamically pose and fit them into the shelves how you want. The lack of head/neck movement in any direction stinks tho. Design first, articulation second seems to be DCC’s motto, and it came into play here. Otherwise, great fig to add to your Rouges display.
Check out over 25 shots below, stay tuned for Batman!
