McFarlane Toys has expanded their video game licenses to include the popular Rabbids. We covered the official release announcement of the Rabbids Invasion figures last week. The characters originated from the excellent Rayman video game franchise and have spawned numerous games of their own, as well as a cartoon and a following among kids and adults alike. McFarlane‘s toys capture the pure whimsey and fun of the characters and their antics. Today we have images and quick reviews for the following:
- Rabbids Invasion Plunger Blaster
- Rabbids Invasion Chicken Surprise and Plunger Face 2-Pack
- Rabbids Invasion 2″ Collectible Blind Packed – Bikini Rabbid
Also, we have a look at the rare Rabbids 2″ Punk Chase Figure (official image). Read on to check out the review as well as over 40 photos.
Rabbids Invasion Plunger Blaster
Packaged in an open box, the Plunger Blaster is a life sized role play item. The blaster features 15 different sound effects. The effects are clear and fairly loud. It features a really nice sculpt with detailed paint on the handle and Rabbid head. The Blaster comes with a crazy feature called “Prank Mode”. It allows you to set the blaster to start playing random sounds after a 20-second waiting period, allowing you to sit it anywhere and walk away to startle someone else. It’s a fun toy and kids should definitely get a kick out of it.
Rabbids Invasion Chicken Surprise and Plunger Face 2-Pack
This set features two different Rabbid Figures. Chicken Surprise features a battle ready Rabbid using a removable (what looks like) a frying pan helmet as well as a chicken that looks none to pleased to be the weapon. If you pull on the chicken’s head, it fires an attached egg out the rear. Plunger Face features exactly that, a plunger stuck to his face. Pull on the plunger and let it go to watch it snap back in place. Also included in the pack are keychains that can attach to the figures.
these feature fantastic sculpts as well as their own sound effects. The paint jobs are crisp and clean. The play features are fun and should keep the younger kids smiling.
Rabbids Invasion 2″ Collectible Blind Packed Figure
I received a blind pack figure that wound up including the Bikini Rabbid. These 2″ figures come with a base and are not poseable. They’re meant to be pure “gotta catch ’em all” style collectibles. As with the rest of the figures here, it features a detailed sculpt and paint job. The mini figures are adorably whimsical and make nice companion pieces for the larger figures.
Now, I personally am not a fan of blind packed items. Never got what is supposed to be “fun” about them as it always wound up being an exercise in frustration as I tried to collect items. So your mileage may vary when buying these. If you or your kids are a fan of the Rabbids and enjoy the blind bagged style of collecting, then you can’t go wrong with these.
