The Genesis Edition Robo Force reintroduced us to the Robo Force line. It gave us a solid gray color figure that could be taken apart and reassembled as you saw fit. While the colors were lacking for some people, it makes much more sense when you see those pieces mixed in with the blues and red of the new figures. As more colors are released, fans will have an infinite number of combination possibilities.
Enemy comes in a two-tone blue colorway while Hun-Dred comes in an all red style. Each figure features new detail tampos as well, adding similar details seen in the original Robo Force figures. Enemy also includes a few variant pieces of parts that come in both lighter and darker blue. That is a really fantastic addition and gives even more freedom. I suspect we’ll see those parts come into play with an official configuration soon.
The new pieces brought an unexpected change. The PVC feels even more solid and the connection joints feel even tighter. This is a double edged sword to me. The good is that the figures hold together even better now (not that they didn’t hold well before). It also makes the articulation sturdier (check out the pic of Hun-Dred lifting Maxx Zero over his head). But it can make assembling and disassembling pieces a bit more difficult. My fingers and palms are still a bit sore from creating the bots for this shoot.
But the bottom line is these are two amazing new figures. They look fantastic when assembled. the additional pieces allowing you to create your own robots is astounding. Check below for a few images of the figures and my own creations. then see the full gallery below that for even more.
