The Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line released last year which continues thru today has been on fire, putting out quality figures that both collectors and kids can appreciate. They’ve been pretty close to show accurate, from the villains to the playsets and vehicles. One of the recent waves featured some little guy versions of the Turtles, the Ninjas in Training 2 packs. The story is they are younger versions of the brothers with wooden weapons, early on in their training by Master Splinter.
The package comes with 2 little versions each – Leonardo / Donatello and Raphael / Michelangelo. They have limited articulation, but they aren’t solid chunks of plastic either like many of the figures this size are. Each pack was priced at the regular action figure price (9.99 – 14.99) depending on where you buy them. These guys were too awesome to pass up, even for someone who isn’t collecting the entire line front to back (I’m sticking with the classics – come on Bebop and Rocksteady). Check out Toyark’s photo shoot of the mini Turts after the break!
