Street Fighter Chun Li Bishoujo Statue 006

Kotobukiya has posted images and info for their upcoming Street Fighter Chun-Li Bishoujo Statue. Standing about 8″ tall, the 1/7 scale statue is set for release in January 2014. More details below:

A Kotobukiya Japanese import! Street Fighter II: The World Warrior marks the first appearance of Chun-Li, an undercover Interpol agent looking to avenge the death of her father at the hands of Shadaloo leader M.Bison. Quickly gaining favor with gamers for her repertoire of fighting moves including the Hyakuretsu Kyaku (Lighting Kick) and Spinningu Badokyaku (Spinning Bird Kick) it’s no surprise she is often regarded to as the “first lady of fighting games”.

Expertly rendered in 1/7 scale the Chun-Li Bishoujo statue stands nearly 8 inches tall on her included display base. Based on an original illustration from world-renowned artist Shunya Yamashita, this is the inaugural release in a new series of highly collectable Street Fighter Bishoujo statues from Kotobukiya.

Yeah, that's nice. Where the hell is the illustration for the Bishoujo Mara Jade?

It'll be interesting to see what they do to her in the sculpt. Some of the statues seem quite against the subject. This one based on Ghostbusters was such a case!

Any Bishoujo collectors here? What's your favourite statue?

This is SOOOOOO bought on sight. I'm slowly getting into the line but mostly collect the DC ones. Somehow the Marvel ones don't appeal to me as much.

I know she had big thighs but they are over doing it here little bit.

Well, it is a Bishoujo statue, so Koto is being more liberal with the design.

I do agree that from the few angles we've seen so far, it does look a bit much. Hopefully, it will look better from a different POV.
