The weekend has come folks, and so have the answers for the latest Ask Matty Q & A session! Itching to see Mattel‘s WWE design team take on WCW? Crossing your fingers that the 4H make a Dick Grayson Batman? Without further ado, here the answers for October 15th!
1) The DCUC wave 2 figures proved to be hard to find, if a fan did not spot them early. 1 figure in particular that stands out, is Harley Quinn. Has she been considered for release in the DCUC All Stars line?
Harley is a figure we would love to get out again, and perhaps give her a more white makeup face. No plans to announce right now.
2) Are more figures from the New Adventures Of He Man, or even the live action 80’s Masters Of The Universe movie, off limits for MOTUC?
Figures from the New Adventures line that had toys in the vintage line are in play. The live action film is not (minus the three “movie” figures in the vintage MOTU line).
3) With former WWE wrestlers like Ultimate Warrior making it into the WWE Legends lineup, are former WCW wrestlers green-lit for inclusion? With Vader as part of Legends Wave 3, another memorable wrestler comes to mind, Sting!
WWE Legends is our opportunity to showcase classic Superstars from throughout the history of WWE, and WCW is definitely a part of that history.
4) Dick Grayson seems to be getting a lot of love, especially with the upcoming DCUC Robin figure. Is there anything preventing the release of a figure based on his current role, as Batman?
Nope. Just finding a time and place to do a Grayson Batman!
5) The rubber pieces, such as knee/elbow guards, and jackets on WWE figures have hindered articulation. For example, on WWE Elite Edge, the jacket is also rather difficult to remove. On figures like Batista for example, the elbows cannot move all the way due to the rubber guards. Have clotch jackets, and softer guards been considered for future waves?
Yes, we have looked into this and will continue to always improve product as best we can for each release!
