Toyark.com: Why are two different assortments made for DC Universe Classics waves rather than have each series fit into one case?
Mattel: This is done in order to ensure there are fresh figures at retail in
every case pack.
Toyark.com: What can we expect in terms of the DC Infinite Heroes line in 2010?
Mattel: Lots of new characters with amazing new levels of articulation.
Toyark.com: Are there any plans do DCUC versions of civilian characters such as Commissioner Gordon and Alfred or secret identities such as Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne?
Mattel: Yes, but not in the immediate future.
Toyark.com: The Public Enemies figures are fantastic. Do you have any plans to support other upcoming DC animated films with a toy line?
Mattel: I am still looking into this but nothing to announce quite yet.
Toyark.com: With Blackest Night in full swing, will characters from this story arc make it into future lines? Maybe even a separate assortment, such as the Superman/Batman: Public Enemies figures?
Mattel: Eventually, yes. The Color of Fear 2 pack on sale Nov 15th on Mattycollector.com was created around the time of the Sinestro Corps War. I learn about new characters at the same time fans do. As I discover cool, new characters I will look at finding ways to bring them to toy shelves, but this can take anywhere from 12-14 months.
